   Read it! If you already like that show that won’t change, not to mention your visuals of the characters are already going to be like the ones on the show, so it’s not like you’re going to be disappointed had you read the books first and think that they did it “all wrong” on the show. Enjoy!

   The show to me is almost entirely different stories.

   The books are far better than the show. I’ve seen some of the tv show and don’t like the characters. They are nothing like what I’ve pictured about the characters. Anna Paquin is all wrong as Sookie; Eric on the show doesn’t come off as charismatic as the book Eric; and Sookie’s brother Jason in the series is too easily swayed. The tv show and/or movie is never as good as the book.

   The books are a lot better then the t.v. show though I love the show. You should definitly read the books. And a just so you know, the book series is known as both The Southern Vampire Mysteries and The Sookie Stackhouse series.

   For the most part way better than any movies or series made based on them.
